New site who dis?

So why did we decide to create a new website?

1. We wanted to give you the closest thing to an in-store experience from the safety and comfort of your home.  It was important to us that our customers could shop and get delivery from us in a safe and comfortable way.  Everyone was so patient with us as we took phone orders and “walked them around the store” during the first few months of quarantine. We wanted to give something back to our customers by curating a dynamic selection of products on an interface that’s easy to use.

2.  We have stories we want to tell and need a place to share them. So, Aaron goes to Portugal, finds a bunch of cool new wines and then… doesn’t tell anyone about them? Not anymore. Now we have a space that allows you to read about Aaron’s trip and order his new favorites. We have a ton of new content headed your way. So get ready for more stories and conversations with the Wine Press Team!

3. We wanted honest, digestible information available to help customers choose the best wine, beer, and spirits. It was really important to us that we spoke to you about the wines in our own voice. The staff (mostly Chelsie) worked very hard to accomplish this.  And we’re not done yet. As we revise and refine the product mix you’ll see more personal breakdowns of the wines (check out the Planella to see what we mean).

4.  Garner told us to! Garner Blume has been a great supporter of ours, he’s also the person who urged us to create a more cohesive online presence to bring the best of The Wine Press to your browser so you can take us with you wherever you go.  He helped us address the customer facing issues we might not have thought about and was ultimately the driving force in getting us up and running.  He got us to the site you see now.

What else is new?

Playlists! This is something we’re really excited about.  Each one includes twelve wines that we’re loving at the moment.  Expect to see seasonal favorites and staff-curated lists. This is our way to present wines that are worth your attention.  You can choose one or all twelve, it’s an easy way to find a new favorite.
